Greetings all.

This is not your usual post about life as a student in South Korea, but a one-off announcement about an exciting project that I am currently doing in which all of you can get involved in!

As a final year New Media student, I am currently working on a final year project that aims to attract more university students to study abroad in South Korea. The project is an online advertising campaign, that focuses on using YouTube videos to help promote the perks of being an international/exchange student in South Korea. The videos themselves are essentially animated infographics that aim to be enticing and informative to students. All the videos will be interlinked, so students don't have to worry about manually searching for videos. So far I'm hoping to produce a promotional video and 3 topic videos : education, culture, and affordability.

There will also be a simple website hosting external links that hold more detailed information about certain things and topics, as well as student blogs. Additionally there will be a Facebook group to allow prospective students to talk with previous students who have studied in South Korea about their experiences. I will also be designing a set of grabbing posters for the campaign, intended to placed on the walls of university campuses that offer opportunities for study abroad in South Korea.

So far this project is aimed directly at UK students, but there is even greater potential for it to become global. Even if the content is initially tailored towards UK students, there is a high possibility that it can apply universally to students golobally as proven with the audience research results I obtained so far.

If you wish to find out more about the project, and follow its progress, please check out my project blog! In particular, you may find my project proposal helpful in providing further explainations as to what project entails: part 1 + part 2

So how can you help?

The project requires a focus group comprised of university students to help guide the campaign to success. It doesn't matter where you live on the globe, and whether you've been to South Korea or not for study. I am hoping for the campaign to be designed by students for students, hence why it would be great if students can give their input to the campaign! So yes, ideally I am looking for current students, if you just freshly graduated within the past year, or for quite a while, I'm going to need you to tell me that so I am aware!
If you opt to join in the focus group I will be emailing you perhaps once or twice a month to request for feedback on campaign designs and content.

Please email jooriizilla@gmail.com your name, nationality (the country you live in), and academic year (or years since you've graduated) if you wish to participate.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask them in the comment section below or just email me!

Thank you for your time in reading this.
